My prediction --> G'ment (not PAP) will call for by-election in HG within the next 6 months, Desmond Choo will stand, and WP, no matter who they field, will retain the seat easily.

PM sounded like, yo I'm so busy and Budget and real 国家大事, why u have to bother me with channelling bandwidth into this by-election thing.

Totally agreed with both of you.
PM does sound that way, I guess he prefers WP to handle it more discretely, but given a lack of info from YSL .. their hands are forced too.

The concern will be whether there will be 3 or 4 corner fight, these will dilute the votes and might not be in favour of WP. Most Opp Parties might take a back seat and not be seen as taking advantage. But it is pretty hard to guess what is in TJS's mind. He seems to covet \"limelight\" quite a fair bit.

My personal feel is that during the Presidential Election if he did not come in, TCB might have won the election rather than TT. Hopefully he will not throw in another spanner this by election.

Oh, I misread MyPaper. It said he \"echoed the sentiments of SDP that it should not fall in the hands of PAP\" so I too quick to say that.

TSJ is not d right fit for HG.

He was warmly welcomed in GE2011.
Was seen as a spoiler in PE2011.
If he contests in HG, he will lose.
If his objective is not to win, it reinforces d view dat he is a spoiler with a different agenda.
He will lose more credibility.
3 strikes in a row n he could be out for gud.
