Hi P1 mummies and daddies(if any are here:)),

Feb is coming to an end and I was wondering how are your p1 Gabrielites doing? I'll start with a few:

-How are they settling in? (mine still dunno how to pack his bag or cannot be bothered...)
      -Have they made any friends?
-Are they coping with the homework? (Mine never does his work unless i nag him to do..)
-Need help to do or is it within their own capability?
-How are they coping with spelling and ting xies? (mine spend 2-3 days for each, so 2 times a week spelling/ting xie equals everyday studying something... :()
Any bullies?? (mine say there is a boy in class that demands my boy buys some animal kaiser cards for him or he will not be his friend. the same boy also took another boy's money without consent and bought stuff at the bookshop.)

        Hi Wenthena,

My son is just like your son!!!

He is settling in well. No school refusal, so im more than happy!
Mine also cannot be bothered with his bag packing and homework.

He has friends but the name he plays with seems to change everyday! Hahaha… And forever complaining about this boy and that boy. But I taught him to be nice to his friends.

Homework, I have I guide him. Especially Journal Writing. He can’t do it himself. Maths still not so bad.

Bully, haven’t heard from him yet except once when he said a older boy threw his wallet under the tree.

Spelling and tingxie is a daily affair! And he has lots of problem with the words that rhymes. So confusing! He said. Like recently, money, hairy, scary, etc. he kept getting them confused.

        Summary! Not bad lah! Hahaha

6.45am is late? But they have to be in school by 7.35am, right? So give and take assuming we aim to reach at 7.20am. Doesn't it take about 20-25mins to drive to school from Punggol?

Normally at 6:45, i start ask them to wear shoes... they dilly dally, then fuss around the bags to take then wait for lift to walk to the car.... so maybe 6:55 then reach the car... then drive there say reach at 7:25am.. Morning really jam!! and long Q of cars getting into SGPS..

😛 now I know what you meant by 6.45am is too late. 😛 I would think that when we set a time, it would mean leave means really leave at that time. The sound of long Q into SGPS is putting me off. 😛 So, besides the long Q in, is the morning traffic very bad?

Hi mommies of kids P2 and higher,

I received the ICAS form yesterday. Any of your kids done this before and is the written assessment given subsequently useful? Thinking if I should let me son go for it. Is it to be held in the school grounds?
