      KSP:
I feel that maturity, self-driven, self-motivated, ability to understand concept fast and in-depth with strong fondation of both Eng/Maths is the min requirements to survive in GEP. Otherwise, not only the child suffers the parents need to push very hard and worst case they may have to do all the work for the child.

I appreciate that, but there must be some books, or even online learning sites for this. Does anyone know of any useful resource, please?

There is seriously no books or assessment for GEP. It is a controlled setting by the MOE. If there is, there will be mayhem among the MOE educators.

Whoah...this sounds quite deadly but you are right, no materials that can be bought.

No publishers would bother to publish assessment books for merely 1% of the cohort. Insufficient volume to cover their cost

Why would one need GEP material??

If your kid is able to handle academic stuff beyond his level, u can always expose him to material for a level or 2 higher. Take up MO training in school or outside or self study. Plenty of good science material in public libraries too. Like they said, the sky is the limit. You are not confined just because you are physically not in the GEP environment.

                  :goodpost: Agreed totally.

It is probably better to exposure kids to wide base of knowledge, encourage knowledge acquisition rather than specifically preparing and targeting books meant for GEP.

It's about enjoying learning rather than drilling.

                    Hi optimistforum,

Here's the link to maths GEP/MO if you are interested. At the moment, I do not see any for Eng or GA.

From what I could see, there wasn't much more resources given to my boy. IIRC, for maths and science, we only had 1 thick file each by the time we revised for PSLE.

I believe it not not so much of how much more outside of their academic level they are taught, but rather the process in which they explore maths or science concepts, the exchanges in class where they learn from one another...or when teachers correct misconceptions shared in class. Typically, I think the GEPpers get to express themselves and share their thoughts more than mainstream classes. That is something which cannot be replicated outside the GEp classroom...and there's no revision for this!!! šŸ˜‚

:faint: Aiya, the father is just asking for some resources. We are here to help each other.

I dont know why he wants the resources becos the father and his kids are not in Singapore, as shared by him in the other threads.

Since I know popular has, I share the infor lor.
