      Hi all kiasu parents

What a nice and appropriate name 😄
I found this website very interesting and a bit late.

My daughter got into GEP 2011.

She seems coping well now but very forgetful.
Forgets where she keep her wallet and hp etc.

      Is she over stressed ?

She is in her new school RGPS.

      :lovesite:

      Cheers

If she has no problem with her work, then just give her time to adjust to the new sch. My DD in RGPS too. Which class she is in?

I am still pretty new to this. It was written P4ISO in her class timetable. For the two sets of notes, the title is \"Individualised Research Options (ISO)\" so I assumed they are the same?

Initially, they were told to think of 2 topics, subsequent week, another teacher took over and they were told to think of 3-5 topics. For class activities, they were given topics and they were supposed to pick a topic and assign suitable titles. They can work in groups or individual.

They do not need to conduct any research on the topics yet, I guess they are only taught how to derive good topic titles.

DS tole me the ISO project have to work in groups of 4 which was already assigned by teacher and they have to come up with 2 topics which will be discuss and completed during lesson time only... It's the eng group project that I am worried abt..the first draft deadline is next wed.. but those kids seems so messy in their flow of the process ...Hopefully after the first draft submission they will learn to be better in keeping up with proper meetings and no a quick 5 mins yes/no kind of meetings and rush to do the next step... any parents with older kids who had done this before? there are 3 deadlines with final submission in April..I think there are more stuff to be added along the way other than what's required in the letter..any info to share? Thanks!

Really, GEP is like … you know … I think I know what is going to happen since I’ll soon be marking one month in the program. (Which, of course, is stresssssssssssssing.)

Did anyone subscribe to RIPMWC HeyMath Tutorial ? Have you tried the questions ?

my ds attempted some of the questions and finds it very difficult as he was not taught on any of the concepts/topics before.

ya, my DS2 sees 'stars', gave up after a few questions. Got my DS1 to help him but also can't solve some of the questions ... worse is you have to attempt the questions at least twice then you can have the answers ... :stompfeet:

Alvin 8228, dont worry, i think it is normal for kids to forget stuff. Like some adults, we just choose to remember things we want to remember. My dd the same, just graduated RGPS GEP last year :). She is still forgetful. If i ask her what she eats yesterday, she can remember. Where is her hp? She cant 😞

I like the challenge of solving difficult Maths questions. Can anyone tell me how to subscribe RIPWWC ? And what does that stand for ?

                      Cheers
