i read and saw some mummies very concern that if exclude PR, their children in the school will not get to mix with other nationalities but then when we were younger, our school environments are mainly singaporean, does it makes us mummies and daddies here not to have the abilities to mix with people from other nationalities? Also your children must be in the good school with lots of PR and foreigners first, if not so what if the school has mixed nationalities, your child will still not benefit from it.Besides nowadays a lot of parents send to their kids to enrichment classes, you will find LOTs of PR and foreigners with their kids attending, so if you feel there is an absolute need for your child to mix with foreign children, send them to any enrichment classes and you will find them, lots of them

by the way my foreign colleagues told me that even if they convert to singapore citizenship and gave up their country citizenship, they can still give up their singapore citizenship and get back their country citizenship if they feel they earn and benefit all they can for Sg.They told me "don’t be silly to think just because we convert to singaporean ,we can’t get back our country citizenship. Our countries are not like Singapore, give up means cannot get back, we just have to pay money and bring all the moneries back, our own countries will welcome us back". i won’t mention the countries my colleagues are from but learning these from them makes me have 1 strong thoughts: push my kids to work harder and make sure next time they get other countries PR.if there is war, dun come back

This also explains why for those Singapore who give up their citizenships here, they are usually quite angry people because they have to make such a tough decision(do and never to turn back) to uproot.

Yes, I heard of this too. I really do not agree with this one spouse citizenship.
These are really the one that will leave us once they achieve what they want. Personally, I do not mind having foreigners in our schools. But, importantly, Singaporeans should at all times be given priority over them for a place. If not, what is the benefits of calling yourself Singaporean.
