Hi have just registered myself in this forum. Can i know the procedure for such transfer? I am considering to transfer my son from a neighbourhood school in TP to Maris Stella

I called the school yesterday and they told me i have just missed the submission date for entrance test, any idea when is the entrance test

Hi Morden Mummy, you can download the \"application form for transfer\" from the school webpage .This year the dateline was 15 Oct 09. You should be able to still send in the application for next year entrance exam.http://www.mshs.moe.edu.sg/mshspri/mshs/primary-School/PrimaryNew/marishome.htm

The school conducts entrance exam if they have vacancies available for the level. The children will be tested on all the subjects, i.e EL compo, EL Paper 2, Chinese Compo, Chinese Paper 2, Maths and Science (Science for P3 & above level).

my boy is currently in p1 in a neighbourhood sch. we try to register in MS during p1 reg. but didnt got the chance for balloting as we are >2km therefore we put him on waiting list since Jun. recently we hv rcvd ltr fm MS to sit for entrance test to p2.

When is the entrance exam?

it will held on 9 nov 09.

Yes, there is exam for Pr 1. I was like you, clueless, didn't know how and what the children willl be tested for the entrance exam. Tried finding their exam papers from the market and was told that the school doesn't allow the kids to bring home the exam papers, there's no way for them to obtain a copy. Not to worry, just go through what he has learnt in school.

Anyone’s with an elder boy in MSHS already?

I heard if yes, since child is accepted via Phase 1, will be in 1A.

My 1st and 3rd kid from Maris Stella. 5 yrs ago, my 3rd kid’s class was 1A coz of phase 1. My understanding is Pri 1A, B and maybe C consists of siblings. My youngest will be attending Maris Stella next yr too, will see if he will be going Pri 1A/B/C tomorrow orientation.
