New Citizen do not serve NS, do they? Why should they be granted some benefits like GST rebates / discount? Moreover healthcare do not have GST exemption, why should any purchases made by them eligible?

If the P1 registration system does not carve out various phases or sub-phases, people will start to complain the system is rigid. And if the system is mainly base on proximity then I believe people will start suggesting to add phases for alumini members, pv, grl…etc. Thus, there is no one system that can satisfy all parties.


The root cause is due to the sudden influx of the populations during the recent past years. So very simple, we need to tackle the root cause to resolve the situation. My view is that, priorities to give to Singaporeans and whatever left vacancies will then be given to foreigners and PRs. I do not think by doing some it will deter foreigners to come here. There are other things that they consider when they come here eg. political and economic stability and job opportunities.

Our dear garment wants SGP to be the educational hubs. So reviewing the Pri 1 registation must cover the PR and foreigner aspect.
