I know of a PR , whose daughter is in rgps, has already planned that her infant son shall denounce the singapore PR and move overseas when the time comes for him to do NS.

      you know 1?
      i know 4 more...similar scenario

I hope MOE cuts down telling us this thing that ALL schools are the same…it is definitely NOT the same or else kids won’t have to take school bus at 5am to travel from one end to another…parents won’t be driving kids from pasir ris or hougang to bukit Timah.

More should be done to retain born and bred Singaporeans and protect us from PRs who are out to squeeze every single opportunity from us only to run away when duty calls for them to show loyalty.

          Hi all,

I am a silent reader of this forum but cannot stay silent on ths topic. I had personally wrote to mr Heng and pm lee on this topic late last year. In fact, I will be writing again to them to remind their new policy should align to the overall" Singaporean first" intent policy which we have seen in other recent review policy.

The Singaporean first intent was mentioned by pm lee in his last national day rally. Subsequently, we did see some policy tweaked to give singapoeran priority. For example ths cooling measure of property. Hence I would expect the education policy to tweaked with singaporean first intent,

Personally, many of my friends and family are unhappy with the current primary school registration due to the same standing given to singaporean and pr. Can I urge everyone believe this is not what you believe in to write in to the education minister to air your view and opinion.

To be honest, our sons have born with obligation to this country, they will serve the national service when they turn 18, I cannot see why this country cannot give them the priority in primary school registration to ensure they have a good start in education. Of course, the moe or mr Heng can argue that all primary school are good and equal. Then I would suggest them to sell the notion to the pr …

You can also ask them to provide facts and figures as in how many PR with sons actually stayed on to do NS and how many actually run away from NS. I have been asking this but they can't answer.

I personally think the public should be known.

Also on the topics of NS......why SGP still has it when other countries are doing away with it? But that is another topics totally. Just an idea to throw around. :offtopic: Mod, i know OT. Can this be another topics to discuss?

My sentiments exactly. Stop peddling the idea that all primary schools are the same when no one believes it!!!

My ex-colleague, denounced his spore PR when it was time for him to do NS (which he said was applied for him by his father and he did not study in spore, so did not enjoy any benefit, so why should he serve NS ?). But few years later, he came to work in spore. And we welcome him and give him a work pass, no question asked.

I doubt it's no qn asked. I personally know of a ex-Singaporean who is on workpass now. He's in a high level position in a 'branded' company. N I heat that generally his permit is only renewed after 3 appeals n lots of reference, n he has a nagging fear that it might be revoked anytime.

This side Of the story u will never hear from the applicant. I mean it's not something that u can boast abt rite? The ' boasting' part is what one will usually tell pple - ie, easily obtain the pass although ex SG or PR.

It's bullsh*^ to say that all schools are the same...otherwise why would certain schools be exceptionally hot. Even our dear SM sent his 3 children to a VERY popular primary school as even his GRANDCHILDREN !!! So what is this crap about all being the same ?

I think we can give priorities as follows:

                      1. (Of highest priority) Singaporeans
                      2. Singapore PRS
                      3. Foreigners

Singapore is being flooded by foreigners already. Tons of Mainland Chinese people steal all our jobs and houses here.

This is not even the foreigner’s own "home motherland", they are stealing everything. Now even school P1 registration seats?

C’mon. Let’s give Singaporeans some priority.

                      P.S: Yeah, I’m a Singaporean myself XD

                      Did you know?

40% of people in Singapore are foreigners.

40% is quite a big number, considering they so-called "don’t belong here"

Anyway, of the recent flare-up on STOMP.

Look at that Mainland Chinese guy who uses our government’s money to study here and he now calls Singaporeans DOGS on Weibo (China Twitter)

Such ungrateful wretches should not even get priorities into our studying system anyway. I can’t swallow such disgusting behavior of betrayal to the country they have been living in.

So says some phrase out there I forgot extracted from where: "biting the hand that fed you"

This phrase suits students like this foreigner Sun Xu very well.

I wonder who stomped that Sun Xu’s Weibo post. I would like to say "GOOD JOB." to that guy.

Now, a couple of months back, there was also another Mainland Chinese foreign student, he dressed as a girl and insulted Singaporeans, in the end he was such a pussy he ran back to China to escape punishment.

                        Low-lifes. Tsk Tsk Tsk…
