I’d prefer boy to learn to read notes from very beginning… which schools/teachers will be recommended then?

They will learn to read notes eventually. Ear training is also very important for music learning. Can your 3.5yo boy read stories already? If yes, he'd be able to pick up reading the score more easily bc it's just another \"language\". My older kids learnt music from much older ages (around 7 -8yrs of age), and they could already read, so reading music score was picked up quite easily.I'd prefer boy to learn to read notes from very beginning... which schools/teachers will be recommended then?

Hi Parents, I am intending to switch my boy (6yo) from Yamaha YJC to violin. Any home based violin teacher to refer? I stay in Punggol.
Come across Joanne, Weihan and Felicia while browsing through the forum. Is the Joanne Chiew same as the Joanne I mention?
There is also Mr Khew from Crestar Thomson, any comments?
Prefer one with experience in teaching and guide on buying violin. -
Hi,
I am looking for a female violin teacher for my 6 years old daughter. She has some background. We preferred a homebased teacher on week days. PM if anyone have any recommendation.
Thank you -
I’m still looking for a violin teacher in SK area or can home teach… but wondering if my 3.5YO is too young? Though he can hold the pencil in the correct way since young, but he can’t really write properly…
Hope experienced parents can advise if I should start him on some group classes for some music background first or just straightaway get a 1-to-1 teacher?
If group classes, any recommendation which school or any contacts for good homebased ones? Thanks! -
At 3.5 years old, I feel that the child should go for a group class and not
individual. The child needs the interaction, and peer learning is good. -
Is there any school recommended for group violin class for 3.5YO?
I only know of Seimpi and Yamaha…
I also hope parents who managed to get their children to start violin at 3.5YO can share their experience on how to get it started pls! TQ! -

You might find a few Singaporean kids 3 or 4yo videos on Youtube. Maybe you can message their parents. Many are learning with either Mandeville or Macs, I think.
This mom - who is also on KS parents, shared her blog here, I think. You can explore it. She does write about her suzuki journey with her son.
