Harding Road.. Started there when Linden was under renovation.... Loves the place.. The children have so much room to explore, the teachers plant all sorts of stuff to educate the kids, and they get to do outdoors every week. My 3 yo favorite is water play every Wednesday... The teachers fill up a huge inflatable tub and the kids literally slide into the tub for some water play together... To me, this is something money cannot buy when you and the kid look back years later...

The harding road campus is just fantastic. Great effort puts in by Pastor Richard and the teachers. My DS1 is already in P2 and he still misses the time when he was in the kindergarten. He had fun and happy moments and teachers are simply great. He did had a little struggle with his chinese when he initially started P1 but he managed to catch up. My DS2 is now in K2 and DS3 in nursery and I see that there are some improvements in encouraging more exposure and writing practice for chinese. I think its a good move. We never regret sending them to SJCK.

Would like to check on sjck’s waitlist. I am on the waitlist (last count yesterday was 113) for pnpg 2013, would anyone know what the chances are like?
Look forward to experienced parents who have been through my path of being on such a long waitlist in sharing some info, updates to the chances.

Sorry for unable to reply earlier.. I understand how you feel because we were in that position before...

For Pre Nursery Play Group class (like my youngest now) there are only maximum 14 kids in a class. 5 classes in the morning and 5 at noon.. Thus, for morning sessions, it is almost impossible if the wait list is already 100+... Noon slot may still be possible, because some more drop out along the way, some may choose to go to another school when they can't get the morning slot etc...

I have not heard of SJCK accepting donation$ for admission.. And they have pretty strong parental support group too.. Thus, my only suggestion is give it a try, and see if you can get the noon slot. Another point to note is whether your child's biological clock can adjust to the schedule... Some kids are just early riser and they need a nap in the afternoon.. Some kids just can't wake up in the morning thus they may adept better to noon classes... If you can't get a class end of the day, don't despair, put your child's name in the wait list in case somebody drops out.. Register your child at the same time for a slot in Nursery too.. Thats what we did.. K1 and K2 are usually easier comparing to PN I feel...

All SJCK graduates remember 2 things fondly for the rest of their lives.. And thats the K2 Graduation Concert and K2 Graduation Camp...

As I said all is not lost... I know it can be cumbersome logistically, but its been a great learning journey to change schools change uniforms and see for yourself the differences... Its not so bad after all believe me..

I presume you are referring to SJCK K1/2..

I believe it's easier to get your child in during those 2 years, as some children migrate overseas or to another school for various reasons... I got my 2nd in only when she was in K2, but she loved it.
