OnSponge Maths - Discussion

hi,
Any feedback on the Onsponge Maths holiday workshop typically running from 8.30-1pm? factoring in tea break & lunch, guess the actual lesson might be less than 3 hours.
Thinking of signing up my girl for their actual tuition, so would like to use the holiday workshop as a rough gauge to see if the style of suitable for her.
Right now I am really helpless when it comes to model drawing, i will instinctively use algebra when it comes to those \"complicated\" questions, even though it's only P3 questions.....*Sigh* really outdated when it comes to the questions nowadays found in assessment books..... :yikes:
Many thanks.
Rgds,

has anyone tried onsponge tuition at thomson or amk branch??
They have closed down the AMK Branch, I think.. Thinking of signing up for my DS2 (P4) at Thomson Branch. Any parents have sent their kids to onSponge for Math tuition? Any comments & advice? Thanks! -
Hi anyone has the contact no of Onsponge Maths center in Thompson? Went tru their website couldn't find any

You can submit your enquiries thru' the onSponge website (admission is centrally controlled, regardless of which branch you want to sign up with). A lady, Elsa, will reply you via email.Hi anyone has the contact no of Onsponge Maths center in Thompson? Went tru their website couldn't find any

Fees for P3/P4 is $180 per month (4 lessons). Max 10 pupils per class. Not sure of their teaching method, as I have not signed up for my DS yet. I am still contemplating between onSponge or Concept Math... :scratchhead: -
Hi, I had wrote them a email but no reply. Me too, comparing the OM and CM. I made a trip to the CM to take a look at what they teach. They cover from basic and include a few difficult question. So depend what the child needs. I feel it doesn’t suit my DD, she has a good foundation, only needs to expose to more challenging problem sums / think maths and learn more ways to tackle it. Not sure abt OM

Is onsponge suitable for kids who are weak in maths, or is it more for kids who are already ok and want a little challenge? My DD is in P4, and she’s weak. Some concepts which I thought is pretty simple she still can’t grasp (eg questions asking ‘how much is the increase’ –> she still doesn’t grasp that they are asking for ‘difference’ or ‘minus’ operation). Any recommendations?
