      SAHMwith2boys:
      Hi all

Need help on the below question, suppose to choose True (T), False (F) or Not Possible to tell (NP) for the question:

Some cells cannot reproduce to form new cells.

The word \"Some\" means \"more than one\". However, I only know that red blood cells cannot reproduce. Unless I also include those dead cells found in nail and hair, then I can say that red blood cell and dead cells cannot reproduce and the answer is \"True.\" Or I interpret \"some\" to mean more than 1 cell though they are of the same kind.

I believe that the setter wanted the answer to be \"True\" but was not too sure if there are other living cells (besides red blood cell) that also cannot reproduce and conveniently use the word \"some\" in the question.

Appreciate anyone sharing your insight into this. Thanks.

Thanks atutor2001, after reading your post, I went to read up on the red blood cells from my DS science guide. You are right, red blood cell don't reproduce and the answer should be true. Thanks for the insight, will print out your post for DS to see... 🕺

                hi

you can refer to the link below for some reasons for eggs not hatching. Hope this helps

                http://farm-animals.factoidz.com/why-wont-my-chicken-eggs-hatch/

am not too sure about how extensive the answer should be at this point as my DD1 is still in P2 and I read the post to learn myself 🙂

Well, the questions keep getting weirder. But anyway, that statement is not true. Eggs need to be incubated before they will become chickens.

Yes. Lightning is a source of electricity. Qn is not about the efficiency of using lightning as electricity.
