Hi Club 2006 moms and dads,

Do you ever wonder or worry if your child can carry the heavy school bags when they go to P1 next year?

I weighed DS1’s schoolbag the other day. It was a darn 6kg! so i told him, I really wonder if your brother can carry all that weight next year? DS2 is short - 113cm ( and i hope he grows taller by year end)… I can’t help but feel worried for the weight of the schoolbag he gotta carry next year.

DS1 have been seeing and going through spine adjustments with a chiropractor since last November. His spine is tilted slightly to the left…

Are you all worried? Share your thoughts.

                  oh sorry to hear.
I brought the bag for my elder son when he was in p1 and p2. P3 onwards he was carrying and they can kept some books in the locker. Now in p4 there were not enough lockers so he carried the whole books all the time.but now we send and fetch by bicycle. So ok. yes i always worry about the heavy as my son smaller size. His t mention that urn bag heavier than u.i also did mention the same.so he can recalled the t said.

                      Smartmummy,

I always pass DS1 heavy bag to school bus aunty. Then I educate him not to carry his bag on his shoulders all the time. When there's opportunity, put down your bags. He has a locker in school, but FT said to put non-core subject books in there. 😞
