Hi,
Was wondering... Have anyone of ur kids rcv his student pass?
not for me either -
Hi, parents of P1/1E, did any of ur DS write on the Marist Buddy regarding recess time for Mon, Tue, Thur & Fri being @10:15am? Their usu time is 9:45am, so m wondering if it’s a temp change or? Asked DS, who told him to jot down the note, he said his FT.
BTW, do u know when the FT, or the teachers check on the Marist Buddy? Is it done daily, or it’s the child’s responsibility to show it to their teachers should there be any notes/qns written by us?
Tks! -
Anyone has any idea what the P1 parents’ briefing tomorrow will be about? Any P2 or 3 parents who has gone for the briefing before and found it useful? I have to make special arrangements to go down, so I’m not sure if it’s worth the trouble.

it is temporary. the older boys are having CA1, so the school shifted the P1 recess time to reduce the noise level. the dates are 1, 2, 5 and 6 march. you can refer to the CA1 schedule given a few weeks back.
i don't think FT checks the marist buddy unless it is brought to her attention. once i wrote something in marist buddy and there was no response. then I asked DS to pass to the teacher the next day and she acted upon it. -
Yes, mine too. FT has stressed to us that it’s not possible to check everyday, FT will write inside when he/she has something to tell you, for communication from you to FT, your boy has to show it to her.
BTW, checking if anyone here has ADHD boys attending Maris Stella?
My son is borderline case and I receive complaints from teachers almost everyday. Would appreciate if anyone can share helpful tips how to better manage disruptive behaviour in school. -

mum2jj:
My boy has a classmate with proven ADHD (doc letter etc). If your boy is a confirmed case, get the doc letter then hold a meeting with the class teachers. They gave that boy special permission to walk round the class and won't punish him unnecessarily etc. The teachers will also explain to the classmates why the boy is allowed to do certain disruptive behaviour so that the rest don't scream unfair treatment.Yes, mine too. BTW, mum2jj,
Are you absolutely sure your boy has ADHD? If you dun mind, can you share an example of what the teachers complained about? Many boys are plain restless and very active but if he can sit down during class time and not be a pain generally, don’t get him labelled for nothing. You can ask the teachers if they think he is ADHD/ADD. Many of them will know the difference.
