Understand when it comes to certain circumstances, one has to make a tough decision between health and the aftermath side-effects. Agreed that in the event where it is life threatening, we should make the most practical decision to treat their health first. Will take note of that antibiotics in my ban list to prevent further onset again.

U need to read up more, increase your knowledge. Do not do things just because others do it. What is helpful for others may not be for you. You will cause you and your son more harm with ignorance. If you don't understand, read and find out more until you do. -

Is it common to take antibiotics for 3 weeks?
My DS was on it for 5-7 days max. -
I think it depends on the severity of the condition. Normally it’s just 7 days. For mycoplasma, it can be very long. I remember my PD ever said some need to take a few months even.
