If my kids already know how to read some basic Chinese words ( perhaps Pri 1 level ). Do you recommend him to still learn the San Zi Jing and Tang Shi ?

Just read \"tamarind\" post regarding Sage books from Popular. Looks like http://www.popular.com.sg don't sell these books anymore. Found the website from HK instead:

Tamarind, same as you, my girl goes to Berries so that she can do private

HCL. However, I do follow up at home for all her learnings including
Chinese ( I am quite good at Chinese, trying to brush up further).
At home, I mainly concentrate on her Chinese and English reading
(books) and worksheets practice.
Always make sure there are loads of books available everyday.
Renew weekly at the Libraries.

According to Popular, this book has been on the market for quite some time already and the publisher has decided not to print anymore. Therefore, what you see on the shelves at Popular and on their website, is what you can get. I guess maybe you can try trading forums and online auctions?

Hi k1r31, HK$109! :!: :!: Wah, too ex already. Perhaps can try these 2 (CHEAPER) series I've been reading with my 23mth old girl:

My girl enjoys them thoroughly since it deals with familiar events and characters, esp the 3rd book on parents. She actually recognised the father character on her clothes few days ago yay! Got this series in Popular.

Got the \"I Read and I Learn\" series. Have only read to my girl the first book \"hui4 bu4 hui4\" and it literally sent her off running/jumping/swimming like the characters. Got it from publisher's pushcart in Raffles Place. Not sure if they're still there, so give them a call if you're interested. I also enjoy reading these books cos colours are very nice

I inherited some of these Panasia books and borrowed some from library.
Cannot afford to buy complete set as they are very costly. for those who can, this is good investment. Books are very well formulated. Can pass down to next siblings.

Thanks for all the reply. As a person with no chinese educational background, I prefer Chinese books with HYPY / billingual.

For the Odonata books, I bought the \"100 words\" set from Popular (8 books + 1 Audio CD + flashcards), around S$36+ (after 10% off). I went to the publisher website and compare the price there (in RM), etc. To make the story short, the publisher gave 1 agent contact in Johor that sells the books!

Thanks for sharing the websites!
PanAsia books mainly do not come with hanyupinyin as this is in a way
to train the child recognise the character.
However, they do have selected series that have English together with Chinese. If you have a Berries learning centre near you, pop by, they may have PanAsia story books on a shelf at the waiting area.
