      Sun_2010:
      BeContented:

Like otah....once happily bought some and plonk myself in front of TV. With eyes glued to the TV, I started putting the otah into my mouth. The texture felt different...a little crunch and sour-bitter taste. Chew a few more times and could not stand it anymore and spit it out.....a LOT of black stuff.

The otah was the big type, so half was still on the banana leaf....and YUCKS #$%@# saw a clump of big BLACK ants ... dead in the centre of the otah.....

For months, I could not eat otah....and nowadays, I look before I eat.

Somehow, I 'attract' pest. I have insect flying into my mouth when I speak (and yes, I bite on it  ), insects landing/attacking me when there is clearly a group of us...but why JUST ME?? So frankly, I hate going to parks.......

What you need , young lady , is an insect repellant
      LOL! πŸ˜†

You secrete insect pheromones la. Bet those are frisky male insects. :siam:
This weekend, we have to go to the park to catch insects for the Young Scientist project. Want to lend a hand? πŸ˜‰

Thanks LOLMum for starting this thread :hugs:

Thanks to the forummers who have shared their experiences so far :celebrate:

A 'supposedly' serious thread with tinges of humor - this place has been lacking it lately.

Enjoyed reading the first few pages, looking forward to reading more.

Early one morning, I made son a cup of milo. He drank half of it and left it on the table. Not wanting to waste it, I gulp down the remaining half cup. Many years ago I bought a pack of soda drink…remember those handy dandy plastic bags? When the auntie passed it to me, I took a drink and felt something not right. There were crunchy bits in my mouth at the first sip. Took a look and found the straw was crammed with ants, medium size some more.

Since then I always scruntinize straws before plonking them into my drink. Bleah
