My dad paid less then $30 for his triple bypass. He had his choice of surgeons and stayed in an A class ward.

As for the $1K salary a mth can afford a HDB flat, that is after they introduce the new scheme I guess. I have some catching up to do.

The surgery can even be FOC..

Can peasants afford or willing to pay for that kind of premium hospitalisation plans? If you're not sick or require medical treatment, the money is down the drain.

Actually we have to look at things in context instead of jumping to conclusions. If it’s 2rm flats with grants that they are talking about , with final price of the flat at about $40k, then it’s affordable as it should be paid fully by CPF.

If yes, my dad has it. And his medical bills are covered by govt. He used to be a civil servant. I believe there is no longer such a medical scheme. Maybe only for \"selected\" groups of people. :evil:
