      Dear parents,

I’m helping to do a survey and gather feedback on myopia in children. As it is known, Singapore has one of the highest myopia rates in Singapore. What do you think is the most probable cause? Is the MOH dispensing correct or sufficient advice? Or are they wrong in prescribing the use of lens at the first instant when myopia is detected?

Do you know of ways where myopia can be prevented other than the usual info we already know?

I have read that some feel the school’s environment plays a part in it as in the use of transparency and whiteboards.

Any interesting or "unusual" advice that you have heard that can contribute to the prevention of myopia. Or what do you think the schools or MOH can do to help stem this problem?

      Appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

I’m 13 years old. No myopia so far ^_^

But seriously, now there are more myopic students in class than non-myopic students.

Parents should do something about it, I guess?

We want to know if there are any ways that have not been explored which can prevent myopia.

Maybe parents whose children are not \"four-eyed\" can share some tips here? What are the things that you have done? I have heard of children who read alot in dim light even, or others who are always glued to the computer having perfect vision. :? :scratchhead:

I believe I'm one of those glued-to-the-computer type of children who has no myopia XD

I can play the computer for 10 hours in one sitting, well, if my parents don't notice me. (I tried before XD)

Any tips to share?? What did your parents do or not do? Or maybe it's in the genes? Your parents aren't bespectacled, I believe? 😄

Both me and my wife wear glasses. All my 3 kids also wear glasses. Maybe is Genes?

Most likely so, esp if you have taken all the precautions. Just wondering about

                    Ichigokun’s parents though…

I mean, my mom doesn't even know how to use the computer!

                        So old-fashioned right. 😉

She says whenever she looks at the computer for half an hour she will fall asleep. So she don't want learn
