Yes, she is. Last year, I changed route as we put DS in a nearby afterschool care and DH drove ds to school in the morning, she kept insisting we pick up ds after school ourselves. Anyway, dont give up, I kept pestering her until she got the seat for me. Must also say nice things to her, 软硬兼施! Bo-pian, nowadays like that, if you come across too over-bearing, she may also not want to co-operate.
Y are we facing this kind of shit when we are the customers. Of cos im not trying to be nasty to her but look at the way they handle. If today they are not the appointed school bus operator, who cares about them. So i feel we should constant feedback to the school on our concern. -

Thanks, we have already met with the school counsellor and constantly in contact with his teachers by email. My boy is doing well academically and somehow many people think ADHD kids are bound to have learning difficulties and we feel ds is not welcomed sometimes. He had a very supportive FT last year who was able to \"control\" him so to speak, but she already left the school. There was this newspaper article about a diagnosed boy asked to be transferred to special school at P4 or P5, so I'm just hoping to get a \"feel\" of M.S. policy or how they handle these kids.
It's a good idea to get him diagnosed so that if it is confirmed, special arrangement/consideration can be given within the school. For example, when it come to changing classes, assigning FT, etc. Each case is different and need to be handle differently. Basically, when it comes to ADHD, there is no one size fit all kind of arrangement. Also, not all teachers are well-equipped in handling kids with ADHD. Even among those who are supposed to know, some are better than others.
Like what Cherrygal mentioned, you may want to consider making a trip to the school to meet up with all his subject teachers and sort of brief them. The school counsellor should also be around because she will be the one handling your son's case and she will most likely be the one speaking to the class. But before you head down to the school, you need to look through the diagnostic report first and to highlight the key points (print the summarised version (1 page) for teachers if u can). I don't think it is a good idea to ask the teachers to read through the thick report as most of them would prefer to read the summary.
I'm a teacher and I have taught and AM teaching ADHD kids (coincidentally, there are many cases in GEP kids). Yes, I have attended many such briefing by parents (most recent one being 2 weeks ago). Most teachers would be more than happy to hear what you have to say and at the same time, share with you their concerns. So, don't feel \"paiseh\" for taking up the teachers' time. Most importantly, trust the school and teachers to take care of your son.

Go to onemap.gov.sg and go to School Query. It is within 2km. Good chance if Phase 2B. May need balloting if Phase 2C. But we never know until the govt tells us the changes to the registration system. Cross your fingers.Hello,

They may scrap the PV scheme if the netizens have their way. Wait for announcement by MOE in May. You still have time.

Hi
My DS brought home the Chinese folder with worksheets and tests for parent’s signature. He said the teacher did not tell them whether to return everything plus the folder, or just the folder alone. Can someone advise please? A few days ago, he brought back the English and Math folders and the teacher explicitly instructed the parents to return only the empty folder.
Thanks. -
The teacher may want to check that the work has been seen and signed by the parents.
