Tell your son. Next time whatever that teacher says, ignore him/her. Come back home, you/tuition teacher teach him
Way forward cannot just be to ignore the teacher. If nothing is done about it, the teacher will cause the downfall of many many more students! Perhaps there can be a subtle way of highlighting this? Send anonymous note to HOD, saying that you don't mean to get the teacher into trouble, but she really needs more training / should teach lower primary (where hopefully she'll do less harm). Or do so after yr DS graduates.
If they don't teach all that is going to be tested, still can forgive. They mark WRONGLY?! propagating error and confusing poor children? How to condone?! -

Testing beyond pushes people to enrichment. It creates a dependance and takes away a child's capacity for self-reliance. What we gain in academic scores... our nation's children LOSE in character building. I cannot forgive testing beyond because the long term implications are serious.

Don't even need to compare with LL or very high standards. All we are asking for is decent marking without ERRORS.... to me, correcting something right with an error is much worse than missing out an error, and forgetting to correct it.
On the testing beyond part, some teachers tell me they have to throw in some questions outside the syllabus to differentiate between an A* student and an A student. But I'd say 1-2 questions (5% or less) is ok, but 20% is too much. So agree with you there. -
