just curious, what is considered a non-neighbourhood school? :?

Actually I wanted to ask this question long time ago. To me even those schools along bukit timah are also schools but in rich neighbourhood area. Or maybe we should call it popular and not so popular schools. Please comment, anyone?

I always found it strange that when I ask friends \"Your kid in P1 this yr right?\" and then the answer always has such a qualifier \"Ya, he's in a neighbourhood school\". Like school have no name....sigh.
          :stupid:

Thanks for all the congrats msg πŸ™‚

It's a relief to be informed by the school of this GEP results, regardless of the outcome, as the suspense is really killing!

Sorry, I didnt know the rules here.. haha, have just left a newbie msg in the other thread.

Anyway, GEP or not, all the kids will have to take PSLE 3 years later, so that is the more important test we should concentrate on, right?

Arrgh, being a Sporean parent is so stressful sometimes 😞

hahaha i think the probability for GEP is much higher than toto... select 500 out of 4000 students the probability is 12.5%

This is a good one. I like it. I encountered this too.

Neighbourhood school or whatever schools also have a name. Don't know why some parents are so secretive in revealing the school name. Parents should feel proud of the school their child is in. When telling other parents in front of the child, it makes the child feel recognised he belongs to that school.

Actually, the probability of getting into GEP is about 500 out of the total cohort of about 50 000 P3 pupils(1%). Not sure about the chances of winning toto though! πŸ˜„
