Just chance upon this thread about KU.
Didn't know Brighton is also under KU now!
Wonder if they would adopt their teaching as Brighton is alot more academic than Pat's learning through play. -
Hi, anyone has reviews on pat’s aroozoo centre? they have been opened since this jan. want to know if the children are settled in. and how are the teachers there generally? tks!

Hello ,
Just happen to come across this thread.
I am a mummy of one child who is currently studying in pats jubilee.
I came upon a teacher who is working in jubilee psh. She doesn’t look like a teacher but more like an auntie. Others call her auntie and most of the time I see her taking the kid’s temperature.
I am wondering does Psh hire professional teachers? This lady doesn’t process any professionalism in the way she talks to parents and children.
I witnessed her calling a child "oie" and pulling the child’s hand when she was crying and using her mobile while sitting at the front door.
If she is a teacher, then I will fear that my child will ended up learning wrong things from her. Her way of dressing is bad, her spoken language is neither English nor Chinese, but hokkian. Aren’t pats suppose to teach children to speaking proper language. I have enough of such unprofessional attitude from this teacher. I also seldom see the principal around. Whenever i ask to speak to her, the teachers will always tell me she arent around in school.
I believe the role of the principal is to oversee the school and prevent the above teacher to take things for granted. I hope my child is under good care and support from her teacher.
Please do something about it.
Thanks and regards. -
I am so confused whether to send my daughter to SJCK, Chiltern or Pat’s. I truly appreciate all mummies help! I understand that Pat’s are using filipino teachers from 1 of my friends… is that true?

Dear Ym
Pats@ lakeside has a Filipino teacher for the toddler’s group. Maybe for your case, you may want to visit the centre and check? -
Dear ym9,
I agree with Charlie_brown. Do visit the centre to take a look at the premises (e.g. Do u like the playground? The layout of the classrooms? General cleanliness, your child's potential schoolmates etc) and talk to the principal (e.g. Their safety measures, discipline methods, curriculum etc.).
It can help you better in deciding on the place for your child. It is dependent on what u desire for your child.
As for Filipino teachers, I don't see any at the centre that my dd is attending.

Thanks Chrisbear and charlie_brown!
Chrisbear, which centre is your kid in? I am looking at Aroozoo! I find that it is new and the playground is big! Does anyone know about the teachers there?
