beauty79:
My son still not saying a word at 18 months. GP says by 2 years if still can't need to go brain scan, blood test at KKH hopefully he will speak by then.
Hi beauty79
DD also din talk until we got a referral letter to kk during her 18 mth check up. In kk the doc suggest we encourage her to speak by saying very very simple words n not sentences to her . Eg when we about to feed her we say 'eat' and repeat it n encourage her to say. Doc also advise dun correct her even if her pronunciation is not rite. We have a review on June , n will only need to go speech therapy if there is no improvement. Hope this help:) -
Thanks puff, my DD1 has speech delay and is now 6. Still going through speech therapy. Kinda breaks me cos doc says got sibling like that so maybe got hereditary traits. Especially my 18 month old is the 4th child, usually can call or say a word by now.

Good morning… kinda quiet on the forum these days… Hmm… The NLB has some really nice new collection of books just right for our toddlers. I can’t help but to lug about 20 books home over the weekend, a lot of hardcover toddler books, the peek-a-boo kind. My DS2 loves it and can sit still on my lap to flip open the flaps.

Hi, just checking if your DD is eating rice, noodle, udon etc or eating just cereal and porridge?
I started feeding her anything as long as not too hard to chew when we were travelling last year. Just don know if I am doing the right thing? -

DD favourite = macdonald fries  -
I still soften the food for my DS2 although he is coming 19 months as he is still not good at swallowing solid food. He'll suck, suck, suck... until the meat or vege is tasteless then take it out and play with it. :slapshead: So I put whatever I want like potato, fish, broccoli, egg, etc etc and mash it up.
