IMO, I think water isn't a problem but the electricity is. Also, you need lots of crockery/cutlery if you hold your dishes to wash.Yes! We should not rely on maids so much!
Amber, are u looking for a full size or desktop dishwasher?
I think full size is more useful cos it can wash utensils plus cutlery. But I think the wash cycle is abt 1 hour. Wonder if that means higher consumption of water? -
To save electricity, you can accumulate your dishes and wash after dinner. You can put the breakfast dishes and wet them in the sink in the morning. After your family finishes dinner, just load everything and do one wash.

Dunno how to describe...you'll be able to tell the difference... The legs are sturdier and thicker than those cheaper boards. The board itself is also bigger.
Yes start planning ! U know... I actually started with a list of house chores and who to do it if I sack my pt maid 1 month before I make the move. You can do it too! -

Err, will it smell? My husband is strongly against buying the dishwasher, because those that we used in Australia (in those service apartments) actually had a smell... -

I agree that full size is more practical. 12l of water per wash. About $1200 from Borcsh (approx 2 month maid salary + levy :)) I think good enough. If you wash by running water it is also easily 12l. -

I used dishwater when I was living in UK. No smell no problem. So happy with it.contact12:
