U can actually stay 1 day in Disney hollywood and the rest in town area. Eaton Hotel or Kimberly is not bad.

Hyatt Shatin is good. Though it is at New Territories, it is very convenient by MTR(just beside the hotel) and they have free shuttle bus to Hyatt Tsim Sha Tsui. It is 2 MTR stops (can take the free shuttle too) away from Snoopy World. It is a very new hotel and is much cheaper than the Hyatt at Tsim Sha Tsui. It has a kids club, a nice swimming pool and if you stay at the club level, the food and beverages served by the lounge is also quite good.

If you don’t mind changing hotels, it is a good experience to stay at Disney Hotel for 1 to 2 nights cause I think the Disney hotel in Hong Kong is one of the cheapest Disney Hotel in the world. We did not stay in the Disney Hotel when we were in Hong Kong as we do not want to change hotel (not very convenient to stay there throughout the trip as it us far from everywhere else) Maybe will try next time when my boy is older.

Heard lots of horror story about missing kids before our trip to Hong Kong, so we always make sure that my boy is with either my hubby or me wherever we are, especially when we are at Disneyland. IMHO, we enjoyed ourselves at Singapore Universal studio more than Hong Kong Disneyland as the queues are very long at Hong Kong Disneyland and we went when the weather is very hot. Imagine queuing up under the hot sun for 1 hr just to take photos with Mickey and Minnie (there is no Toon Town, so Mickey and Minnie are out door). But for you, the weather should be quite cooling, so no problem about the hot sun.

Enjoy your trip to Hong Kong!

i went to Hong Kong with my son just recently... while we may always hear horror stories such as these of kidnaps, there's hardly any cause for major alarm... just adopt the same vigilance as we do here at home 🙂 after all, isn't HK home to many parents just like us? 😛

we enjoyed Disneyland, and found it much more enjoyable than universal studios SG... perhaps because we went in winter and the weather was a nice escape 🙂

look on the websites for disneyland hotels, we managed to score a good deal for hotel+entrance tickets 🙂 🙂

or if you're staying in other hotels for the duration, it's no problem commuting to disneyland, the train gets you there in a jiffy!

Try Noah Ark resort. It is a resort with a beautiful beach outside. Cheap and good for family of 5. I have been there with my family last Nov. Book the room for 4, only 700HK.

Yes I agree with baby_may on the Hyatt shatin hotel! It’s a pretty neat and family friendly hotel. But isolated if u are used to the usual eaton Kowloon temple street kind of bustling… If u r visiting Disney, must stay at Disney hotel at least 1 night for the experience (your kids will love it) also remember tobuy the Disney ice cream and disney shaped pancakes … U will feel like a kid again hahaha

You try L’Hotel Nina. Their rooms and bathroom are super big. They have 2 queen beds. I went in Dec 2010 and paid only S$99 per nite thru hotelclub.com/visa.

Although they are not located in Kowloon, Hong Kong Island but they are located near MRT (5 mins walk only). They are near to lantau island and disneyland. There are also 2 big malls nearby.

Stayed there on our last visit, and loved the place! The hotel is located opposite a wet market and you can find nice food there, too, although not as much variety as what Tsim Sha Tsui, etc. offer.

We went about 3 weeks back… Stayed at the Disneyland Hollywood hotel, nice hotel with shuttle to Disneyland. It was great arrangement for us coz we bought Disneyland tickets for 2 days, just had to top up a bit more for the 2nd day. As my boys still need their afternoon nap, we went to Disneyland in the morning then back to hotel for nap after lunch, then back to Disneyland again. We stayed 3 nights, so we watched fireworks from our room on 1st and 3rd night.

Practice same vigilance our your kids as you would in a busy shopping mall in SG. The Disneyland staff are nice & helpful… when our boys try to wander off on their own and see us shouting or going after them, they will help to hang on to our boys while we come.
