This is what I gathered:

For SA1 and CA2, only Paper 2 will be tested; vocabulary, cloze passage, comprehension passages.
SA2, Papers 1, 2 and 3 will be tested.
Paper 1: Email Writing (20%), Composition (40%)
Paper 2: Vocabulary, Cloze passage, Comprehension passages (70%)
Paper 3: Oral (50%), Listening Compre (20%)
Total: 200 marks/2= 100%

Hi does anyone know what is the sec 1 chinese exam format like and the weightage? ie. compo vs oral vs paper 1 .


And in paper 1, what's the format?

No idea. But shouldn't your DS be getting this info from his teacher? It's good training for the rest of his life...

Yes, my DS will ask just that I am kiasu and want to learn ahead as his Chinese is not very strong, I need to prepare his revision plan ahead.

98th Annual Track & Field Championships, 9 March 2012

ACS (Independent) will be organising its 98th Annual Track & Field Championships.

Date: Friday, 9 March 2012
Time: 1400 – 1700hrs
Venue: Singapore Polytechnic, 500 Dover Road, Singapore 139651

Year 3 and 5 students will be attending the event. Students will be dismissed from Singapore Polytechnic.

Not sure what they mean by "Year 3 and 5 students will be attending the event". Does that mean year 1s and all the other years do not attend? Does anyone have any idea?

Yes it means exactly that. Year 3 and 5 between them, plus teachers, total about 1000 people. There is not enough space for the whole school.

My son didn't even know there is such an event. So I think it's not for yr 1
