Suspect my maid has hp, advice needed
-
peapot:
Some of them do keep two phones - one to call home and one for local calls as it is cheaper to use different services.Very true about the Hp! today I discovered my maid has one more Hp. I noticed ear piece sticking out under the bed then I realized she has hidden her Hp there. I have already given her one Hp to use why does she need another Hp????? Running a multi dollar biz??!!! And she needs to hide it?? If I want to stop her from using, would I give her a Hp to use in the first Place? Maids have very strange thinking.
Btw, her Hp was registered under my hubby's name to buy a prepaid card. Can I just check can the maid also use the same IC to register for a new line or prepaid card? I just want to be sure the new Hp line or prepaid card registration has nothing to do with us.
You should be able to check if any lines are taken out using your IC but you will need to contact each of the telcos to do so. -

Don't think they can just use the NRIC copy to register like this. They also need authorization, as long as you didn't sign the form, they shouldn't be able to do that.Very true about the Hp! today I discovered my maid has one more Hp. My maid has 3 handphones. She has 1 to surf net (prepaid data plan), 1 to call back philippines and another to call/sms in Singapore. Really richer then us... -

I think it would be hard for a maid to do it and the telcos would definitely be at fault. Someone took out lines in my name a few years ago without my original IC but she did have additional personal info (she was working as admin staff in my company) - that eventually became a police case.

case closed, my maid just told me she wants to transfer to another employer

i did not confront her about the hp issue. (perhaps she knows that i know alreeady?)
This evening my parents took the maid & kids out. I looked thru my maid's stuff again..she has some photos of her wearing my specs, and sunglasses on her head? I know it is not as bad as those horror stories wearing underwear and all that but still...
she is wearing make up in the photos--i am HOPING she's not using my make up!!
in one photo she is posing in front of my husband's computer --looking at the screen, hand on the mouse. from all the photos i can't tell for sure if she's taken the photo herself or somebody took her photo. In the latter case, means somebody came into my house!?!?!! Arrgh.
When she tell me she wants to ask for transfer, she say, can i not transfer her back to the original agency she came from. She wants to go to Javamaids.--means what? She has been doing her homework.
Disappointed.
seems like red flag to me. i do not think you can or should keep her with you anymore. let her go. -
there is nothing too difficult to get a prepay card…from 7-11 or any other kiosk selling phone cards
they only record the work permit number or something like that … don’t need telco to approve one
last time before mas selamat case you won’t even need and ID to buy new prepay card with number
also possible that other maids / BF buy the prepay cards and give to the maid lor … so easy … and if the postman likes her, postmen will also buy her prepay card…$8 only… -
