Just wondering how does it taste like? Any fishy smell? I tried my DD on DHA chewables and she refuse to eat as the fish smell is quite bad.

Hi bigsnoopy, DHA chewables sure to have fishy smell. I know the colostrum that I give my kids contain DHA, it does have a little bit of fishy smell. However I find the vanilla smell stronger than the fishy smell. Recently they came up with the chocolate flavour, maybe it taste much better.
If it is just colostrum, I don't think there will be any fishy smell.

            Hi bigsnoopy

It smells of pineapple. Usually, I add the colostrum in her milk. To be taken once a day. 😄

Understand from my colleague that her nephew hates Scotts capsule cod liver oil but he likes Seven Seas cod liver oil. You may like to try that.

Just to share, my DD was on Tupperware colostrum tablets for about 3 - 6 months. She loved it and we have no problems getting her to eat it. Although her health did seem to be better, falling sick less often and faster recovery, etc… After a few months she started having a lot of styes and eye infection. They refused to go away with topical medication and we ended up having to go for a day surgery to remove the styes, and the surgeon found not one or two but seven styes. Around the same time, we ran out of supply and stopped consuming the tablets for a few weeks. Then i was given a leftover bottle by my SIL, and the styes returned. Since there is no supply, the consumption stopped an this time, luckily, we did manage to get rid of the styes by topical medication. I wonder if it is a case of what some may call "heatiness", or "heat-poison"??

Anyway, I myself started taking some multivits a month back, and now I am having this styes problem - and I have not have this since I was a kid! So, my personal conclusion is that, perhaps some tablet form supplements may be "heaty" effect on some of us, children or adult, and we should look out for symptoms when introducing supplements to our diet. Now I am keeping my fingers crossed - hopefully I won’t need to go under the knife!
