Hi, my DS1 is now in K2…almost graduating and pretty sad to leave this kindergarten. Primary school…a whole new chapter!
Well…from our experiences, let me share my views on this school. First, their bus pick up service is very efficient and very safe. This is the first I noticed when I selected this school. They dont just open their class doors and let the children run out…very systematic approach to usher children in an out of their school doors (have to go there to know what I mean).
I like hearing the things my son learns about and find it very good in terms of moral up bringing. Best of all, with the daily homework that starts from K1, I feel very in tuned with my son’s progress and also with what he is learning in class on a daily basis. I find the maths and chinese standard to be quite high…almost p1 level in k2. I’m very happy and have no regrets putting him there and am going to register my daughter in the coming opening…(February 2012). -

An update from me again now that son is halfway thru p1! Really look back and miss CGM. Even though I didn’t see teachers everyday… I was much more in tune with my sons performance etc in school. Despite seeing my sons current form teacher everyday at school… She does not communicate much and doesn’t even make kids use school diary so we constantly have to question son. Makes me appreciate Cgm teachers and approach much more. Also since beginning of the year have only had homework once. So I can assure any child who goes to Cgm will be MORE than equip to go into p1. In fact my son is even able to atten p1 Chinese at the CDac when he was in k2… Now in p1 doing p2. That’s how good Cgm standards are. Anyway 5 months more till my girl gets into Cgm! Can’t wait!

Thanks for your update. CGM don't have any vacancy for morning session thus is worried whether my child can adapt to the other two sessions. -
Dear Parents
I would like to know more abt CGM Kindy as I hv the interest to put my child for K2 nx yr.
My concern is
1) if my child is unable to catch up, will they put in extra effort to coach him? He is in daycare now and we would like to convert him to a normal kindy sch. Not sure if he is already on par w/ wat CGMis teaching now.
2) I know they hv snack time, do you know if the teachers do make sure they wash up before eating?
3) in cc, they all remove shoes before entering the compound. Do the children in this sch do tat? If not, if they wear their shoes into the classroom, and step all over the area. Then when they need to sit down on the flr w/ their shoes, then isn't it going to be pretty dirty?
Thanks for your advice. :?: -
Hello there,
I believe they will put more effort on a child if they feel a child is unable to cope, and definitely it would be better for your child to level up before p1 comes rather then in p1.
The shoes are worn in classroom as well but so far they have not ever had a problem with hfmd and yes they will ask children to wash hands before meals. Overall all the parents I know who have kids at the school are very happy with the school.
