      phtthp:
      - Shalom church kindergarten (Pasir Ris) give homework + school holiday assignments too (contents in depth). 😂

      - Barker road church kindergarten also give homework assignments.

      - Newton church kindergarten also give homework on Friday, supervised by parents.

inside the child's green bag contains homework for English, Maths, Chinese. Come Monday submit back to form teachers to mark.

:yikes: :yikes: phtthp, you know so much about other Kindergarten's curriculum with regards to the volume of homework! :scratchhead:

You have your children in all the diff kindy?

my neighbours' children and close friends' kids come from these kindergarten. They shared with me what's going on inside their kindy.

they also gave me their kids' booklets of weekend homework assignments + school holiday assignments for (English, Maths, Chinese).

not many kindergarten have school holiday assignments.

        Shalom church kindy is one.

another one exploring the same idea is Newton kindy (not finalized nor confirmed yet). because June school holidays is 4 weeks long, whereas December school holidays longest - 6 weeks. When come to school holidays, kindergarten parents sometimes headache. Don't want their kids to just laze around at home, learn nothing during these long 4 or 6 weeks holiday. So the idea of giving them school holiday assignments comes along just nice. Keep the kids occupied, while mommies busy run errands around. At the same time, kids also learn something during school holidays. Not just play and play.

        kekekekekekekekekeke 😄

            hello kiasu parents,

just want to ask if at which level does your child's preschool/childcare gives out homework ? Is it very prevalent in the first place that preschoolers are given homework?
My daughter is in Nursery in a church kindy in Seng kang and they donot give homework even at k1 or k2 level. We are moving house soon and i am thinking of enroling my 2 girls in another church kindy near our new plce.
I called to enquire abt their curriculum and again they too say they do not give homework to K1 or k2 pupils.

If your child's preschool does give out HW, how is it like? Worksheets or pages of workbook to complete or ...?? Thanks for enlightening me. :please:
It is common...Now, I working in China and know something about this in China.Just share with you. In fact, one day only if he or she becomes a student in any school, homework is a necessity. After all, it is reasonable for a qualified teacher to give proper work to them.
Do not worry. Life is not easy for anyone in any age.

For K1, don’t really matter if there’s homework. Impt is to get the kid to like ‘schooling’. Let our kids have a break, enjoy learning.

Come K2, homework is good prep for P1.

              just my personal opinion. Cheers.

Mine was few years back. She had Spelling for both EL/CL, some penmanship and show and tell projects. I must say her K1/2 prep her well for P1/2.
