My Hubby from Kong Hwa, thus in phase 2A will get in,…however, I hope to get my boy into Maris Stella instead, will be in phase 2B…as my kids and I are babtized catholics, what are my chances? Any idea if I register Kong hwa in phase 2A, and when it comes to phase 2B at Maris Stella, and after reviewing if chance is good, I call Kong Hwa to give up my seat…possible??

You can certainly give up your place in Kong Hwa. Some parent will be thankful that you did. 🙂

BUT you will need to withdraw in person...they won't accept withdrawal via a phone call. Imagine a resourceful phase 2C parent finding out the particulars of those registered in phase 2A & B, and start calling the school to withdraw them?

Dear Mummies, my son will be registering for P1 next year. However, we have lost his health book. But I do have a copy of his immunisation summary cert issued by the polyclinic. Can anyone advise me if this is good enough? Is there any other use of the healthbook besides P1 registration? Just worry that it is needed for some other purposes. Thanks

There's a discussion on the topic \"Branded vs Neighbourhood schools\" tomorrow at 8pm on Channel News Asia. It might be interesting for some to weigh in on what's being shared. http://blogtv.channelnewsasia.com/default.aspx

Below was abstracted from MOE website:

                Immunisation Certificates
All parents should produce the immunisation certificates (BCG, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, rubella and Hepatitis B) of their children at the time of registration. Documentary evidence of immunisation can be downloaded from the National Immunisation Registry website. http://www.nir.hpb.gov.sg/nir/eservices/eservice.jsp

You may want to check out above web sites.

By the way, student is required to bring the health booklet to school for some health / eye-sight check up from time to time.

                    Hi Mummies,

I just shifted to Punggol and EdgeField & Horizon is within 1km. Which is better? Do I still need a contingency plan for schools within 2km? Which is better - Greendale, Mee Toh, Rivervale, Compassvale, Seng Kang, North Spring? Pls help! PANIC PANIC!!! I would prefer to have my kids in the morning session. And I still need to find out about After School Care! -.-"

                    Thanks in advance!!!

If your boy qualifies under P2A, he will have a 99.99% chance of getting in, as of today.
