      Edureach:
I hve 2 kids, the elder took his PSLE in yr 2005 and will be enlisted coming May. The younger girl took her PSLE in yr 2006 and is now in j2.

If i will to do it all over again, apart from academics, ccas and travelling distance are my main consideration and i heck care about a school's culture and IP status or not doesn't bother me at all.

From a parent whose kids qualifed for IP schools but only the younger one had chosen this route.
I understand IP route isn't simple and requires kids to be independent learners. My son is hoping to get into SJI or ACS independent. So I hope he is able to focus and work very hard (without me having to nag) to get into his dream secondary school. it's already mid March.

Sji will be relocating to temp holdings I heard. My boy said he won’t be keen if the relocated site is going to be too far away.read somewhere that it’s goingto be in bishan n in year 2013 n 2014. Any verification? that was supposed to be one of our preferred choice too. Haiz.

I read that sji will be relocating to temp site in year 2014 n 2015 - not 2013,14 as I stated earlier. so they can upgrade the current site for their IP programme. U may want to check the parents network thread to find out more.

Come to Maris Stella High School! Its an all-boys SAP school

My friend went there! He got a MacBook Air for all his lessons at MSHS.

On this note, many kids here would want to go. -WAHAHAHAHAHA-

And parents probably won't allow them to spend $2000 to buy a MacBook Air 😉

Hoping to put my son in MSS in 2014 via band DSA. This is one of our targetted school.

Best that you visit the Open House of both NUSH and NYGH to gauge for yourself the ambience, the culture, the pedagogy and the teaching staff there. Both are good in their own way.

hm..when did your kids start knowing which sch they would like to go? peer influence?

My dd class started to talk about it in P4. Her friend and her aim is to go RGS or Dunman High. I told her to aim high is good, but must also be more realistic. 😛 She is neither the Top 10 in her school cohort so going RGS or Dunman she must work double hard in P5 and P6.

Seeing the \"hard work\" she put, if she can go Nan Chiau, I am MORE than happy. Nan Chiau to her is more realistic.

Hi Mrs Seah, Are you staying in Sengkang area? Nan Chiau must be nearby your place. Nan Chiau is a SAP school, its COP is 236. Might go up this year. Are you referring to top 10 or top 10% in her school? If she is in P5, she still have time to set goal & work towards her dream school. Good Luck!
