Hi Alchemist, that's how strongly my ds feels for SSTAlchemist:

Only one lucky student got in this year.
Bbee - your son wants to try again Sec3 - amazing. I asked my son to try as well - but currently he says he will not.
But not sure if he will change his mind later on. He's enjoying himself at his school thus far and hope this will last throughout his secondary school years.
I read in other thread your ds is settling in nicely too. That's really nice to know :)[/quote]Hi Bbee - Glad to know your DS is settling in well into his new school. My son is ok at his present school - so far so good. I think he has tried to put SST behind him in order to commit to his new school - which I think was quite good. I was quite surprised he actually likes the school cheers etc - he was not usually the rah-rah kind of person. Today they have interviews for the Infocomm club - which hopefully he can get into - which will at least give him an avenue for his interest in IT . -
Alchemist:
Good that he likes what he is doing. I guess kids change as they are growing up. Adaptation comes into placeBbee:

Haha, my ds going for new media, I think similar to Infocomm club. Audition was supposed to be today, but was cancelled last minute
He likes Green Club too and will be deciding on one among these two. And hope that he will get into his choice too. All the best to both our dss :xedfingers: -
Does being in Robotics CCA help in SST’s DSA?
DS wants to switch to Robotics for this year previously he was with the Science club.
Any advise? -
Anyone know the open house date and DSA application date start for SST?

Robotics is very popular in SST. My boy tried to get in in Sec 1 but there is only about 40 vacancies with about 100 applications (ie half the cohort). -

SST admits its students through the DSA-Sec Exercise. It does not participate in the MOE Secondary 1 Posting Exercise. Students who wish to be considered for a place in SST should apply through the DSA-Sec Exercise.
DSA-Sec Application Period: 14 April, 9.00 a.m. to 29 June 2012, 5.00 p.m.
