I really need to clarify...........the girl in the youtube is not my daughter. When you asked me to 'share your blog or youtube' I merely did a search under 'piano kids concert' and this url came up. You can also search under specific titles and add 'kids concert'. I don't have a blog...........not so IT savvy...........must really learn from you. My kids can't play well yet and since I find it expensive to bring them to concerts on a regular basis, I need to use these methods to inspire them. So sorry to cause so much confusion here. Really so sorry!

Will your ds be joining the Suzuki concert next year? Not my kids cos their school will no longer be associated with Suzuki association soon...

It was a challenge making sure she does her counting. It is a good thing to have the recordings too as she was able to spot her own mistakes. She herself pointed out very sheepishly that her little finger is up in the air when she plays.

I did not have any music training at all so most of the time I am not able to tell if she is playing it correctly.

That's one good point of recording their practices. It helps the kids to be more self critical of their own playing.

Hey, me too. Both my DH and I do not know at all and thus we did not want DS to learn piano 2 years ago... Just last year he asked for it again...and we finally let him learn...

And I also do not know if he places wrongly unless I have heard the piece before and know how it sounds! And I cannot guide or answer his qns to the theory exercises
