They always conclude the news report by saying that it is investigating but seems like there is no outcome to all the investigations :scratchhead:

since it's NS and also medical related, the outcome of investigations should be classified/confidential....unless the family decide to release it....I think.

if you wanna say that these guys are weak and thus pushed too hard and then die, then yeah you should be worried.

but these boys are fit and healthy…so you really can’t tell

there are many ways to die in NS

during my taiwan training one guy got pneunomia and died after he came back

He was promoted posthumously but screw that, I think the parents just wanted their son back

Find this most ridiculous :siao: . What's the whole purpose?

generally when you die while a trainee, you will be 'promoted' to whatever you're supposed to be you graduate

                  e.g.

OCT becomes 2Lt, Cpl becomes 3SG and so on...

                  its an army thing

Didn't you read about the recent Guards trainee? He got his sand coloured Guards beret

Precisely, I want my son and not some promotion.

well…some deaths can be prevented, but some really can’t…

maybe if all of us wrote to defense ministry to shorten NS or something…

Taiwan already cut ns to 1 yr,

and it’s not like we’re surrounded by unfriendlies

We have the 4th highest defense budget per capita in the world

wonder what goes into all that money, eh?
