1 tactic China mothers teach their kids is to shout, kick up a fuss and screamed: help!! kidnap! this man/woman is not my dad/mum.

guess this cannot apply for babies/toddlers but at least hope to scare the
      abductors and alert the public.

abduction to overseas is more terrifying than kidnapping!

Actually unless they kidnap rich men's kids otherwise.....

Singaporeans are assets rich but probably not as cash rich. If they want a million, I suppose it takes awhile for the parents to sell their house, shares, etc.... All these takes time....

          pinky:

what happened to kids abducted in China:

          1. killed and their organs removed and sold
          2. sold off as child labour
          3. sold to childless couples
          4. limbs chopped off and sent them off to beg in the streets
          5. trained to be pickpockets and other vices

back in China, children are forcefully taken from their mothers while on the streets in broad daylight :nailbite: :yikes: There was this young mother carrying her baby on the streets when the abductors just grabbed the baby from her arms and drove away....

          this is just disgusting :nunchuk:

I am definitely going to show this to my kids.

Thought US??? made a comment that Singapore is involved in human trafficking??? which they were trying to dispute? :?

I think the human trafficking is referring to women being lured here and forced into prostitution

I always remind my son NEVER talk to strangers and hold his breath when someone approaches him, bcos these people can release a smell to make him listen. We can teach our kids to be street smart, but problem is we do have many foreigners here. In the case of the AMK hub, that woman should be arrested immed. :stupid: what if she performs the same stunt on another child ? Can the mother provide a sketch to police ?

that's why kidnapping is not so common here :X

The mother made a report at the reception and also to the police.
This incident was verified true and even MP Seng Han Thong advised parents to be vigilant and to take care of their kids. He was there with RC members, police and the management to discuss how to enhance
security at the Hub and to be on the lookout.
Yes, these stories are very real. One case I know of was in HK disneyland. One lady with her 2 year-old child was asked to take pic by another older child and when she was done, turn around to see her own child missing. She immediately informed information counter and THE SECURITY IMMEDIATELY LOCKED UP ALL ENTRANCES AND EXITS TO THE PARK and SEARCH THE ENTIRE PLACE.

The child was later found crying in a corner, hair shaved, and clothes changed. Her mother could hardly recognize her.

ALL MALLS AND PARKS SHOULD HAVE SERCURITY MEASURES IN DEALING WITH SUCH CRIMES.

and as parents, what more can I say but to take precautions? :faint:

so scarry, sometimes I felt uncomfortable to go to toilet cos my kids are outside.OMG last week we were in the AMK hub, there were a magic show cum playing activities for kids. Some parents really so brave, let the kids in the show and go away. One girl stood up and searched her mother. Then she found her mother.

When we went to KL,I saw a small girl photo and quoted missing. After my DD almost lost in the lift and found a lady bring my DD to her house. She claim that my DD was crying near by letter box.We suspected but not sure. After that I always worry to let them go alone. When my son was going to ICR,near by to our house, crossing the road only, sometimes we let him go alone. But in CNY so crowded and I suspect many foriegners there,so I went with him always.
Nowadays I expect anything happend in Singapore. Not that very safety.

I told to my kids always stay with us if not people bring to other countries and let u begged.
