I’ve been to China many times, sad to say, a lot of Chinese kids are kidnapped, abuse and made as beggars there in China.

In Hong Kong, there are not much kid beggars. But once you cross over to Guangdong, Dongguan, Shenzhen and Fenggang region, the streets are literally swarmed with child beggars. Some of them have their limbs cruelly removed and these beggars usually tug on to other people’s legs to ask them to buy their things. If you don’t buy their things, they won’t let you go.

Its a sad thing. Yet the Chinese government isn’t doing anything.

So all the CCP cares about is their own economical growth. China is currently now one of the most polluted countries on earth.

I must say, the environment in China is not very conducive as compared to other countries.

In China, the air is musty, thick, oppressive etc.

Very different from when I went to America, Japan or Australia. The air there is much better.

I would say, Singapore’s air quality is some where better than China but not as good as America, Japan or Australia.

One of the main reasons why Singapore’s air quality is somewhat not as good is because we have too much HDB flats that block off the wind.

I heard, in China, when the kid beggars tug on to men’s legs, they are selling tissue paper. If they tug on to women’s legs, they are selling flowers.

When I was a kid and I went to China, my mom always brings me into the female’s toilet with her (all moms out there with small children, when you all go to china, you all should, too, yes. dont laugh but this is for some safety measures), as all of you know, China’s security level is really low and the possibility of being kidnapped is really high.

You mean in Singapore, your mother leaves you outside the toilet? What if you just wandered around yourself and got lost and your mum can't find you when she gets out? I wouldn't ever ever do that. Not until they are a trustable age.

In singapore if need to go toilet, I will bring all 3 kids into the handicap toilet. with me. It’s the only toilet that can accommodate all of us. Their safety is more important than pple thinking that I abuse the handicapped toilet. Of course I make sure we do not dirty the toilet.

The air in HK is not clean…my friend’s daughter get eye infection often. In china, there are fake cod fish, eggs and milk powder. From long time ago, i have not bought luncheon meat from china. No QC. Basically it is not safe for kids.

There are many PRCs in HK now…easy access for them now. I am rather pissed off when I see them around in Singapore…they talk loudly and have no manners.

OMG. I think I cannot sleep tonight after reading about this case. I grew up hearing about Adrian Lim’s case and the two boys. In fact, my mom used to use stories like these to frighten me, so that I wouldn’t run off without her knowledge. Her good intention has left me being very paranoid about my kid’s safety, esp with this case in AMK Hub.

Just when I was a bit more settled and thinking about bringing my kid to HK disneyland, I saw someone posting Shin Min’s news on Facebook. I really wonder if I will ever have the courage to bring my kid for holiday.

My mum also told me the same thing about Adrian Lim. The other reason was to warn me never talk to strangers. I am scared too. I hope both of us have sweet dreams tonight.

Reading the Singapore kid mishap, I am sadden and my heart goes out for the mother.

Losing her kid in KL and finding him in BKK, it is quite unbelievable and indeed a miracle.

Please send my regards to this mummy or if she needs help financially let me know.

I used to worry about my kids. But then TCS ever screened a show where a clown kidnapped kids. The one good thing is that my kids are now very wary. Still, when we go out, even from young, parents or grandparents are always the ones holding them.

I’ve brought them backpacking to other countries, HK (Disney included), Bangkok, even Europe. So far ok. We will make it a point that they must always stay near us.
