I still don't understand about COE. Like how could it ever had been S$2 and now S$80K? Can someone be so kind as to explain? I mean, if it is a demand and supply, does that mean no one else bid but the one who bid S$2 got it? :scratchhead:

The bids will go to the x number of highest bidders but the bidded price of the Coe will be the lowest of these bids. So if out of these bids the lowest is 10k, everyone pays 10k. Stupid system. only benefits one class of person.

they should just adopt the method of "pay as you bid" instead of everyone paying the same at the level of lowest successful bid

\"Pay as you bid\" is more straight forward. To adopt a different bidding system, surely there must be other rationale behind? 🤷

I think they should adopt pay up as you bid. Then we’ll see how much pp really value this COE.

High COE means lesser cars on the road and thus less congestion & pollution 😂

The number of cars will work out to be about the same unless there's a change in policy again.

Nope. Not lucky to have iron rice bowl. If pp have to pay CASH for the Coe they bid, you think it will be 80k? Somehow I think much of it is pumped up by dealers, and pp accept becos they can take 10years to pay up the Coe they bid for.

I agreed. If car loan cut down to 7 years, I believe, the price may drop too!!!
