Why local kids so easily led away? Or why local parents so trusting?
This is our place, and we have been too trusting of our safe environment, almost taking it for granted. Then sometimes we forget that our environment is no longer the same, ever since we opened the floodgate...we take in people good and bad. Especially when now economy bad, people lost their jobs, and cannot go back without making enough money, so take our kids to pay for lor... -
Singaporeans are no angels hor. There are perverts who prey on young kids. I do not understand why parents are so trusting. I have seen parents who leave their kids in the library and go shopping or leave their kids in the toys section and go elsewhere.
Abduction maybe the new crime but there has always been crimes against kids committed by Singaporeans. -
I am so angry when I see reports like this. These CHINA abductors are so evil. They are cheap labour but so what? With no moral conscience, they are worse than dung!
I hate to know about what these evil CHINA people do to innocent children!!! I hope the Singapore governement stop the influx of these cheap labour!! I also read about how they like to shout at children in childcare centres. They think what? This is China izit? Anyhow shout at our kids!!!
Please be alert!!! STOP THESE CHINA ABDUCTORS!!! I hope the police track them down and catch them and deport them back to CHINA and make sure they can NEVER return here again!!!
I am so angry!!! Poor kids!!! -
Despite the rife discussions over recent attempted abduction(s) here... (so far only one case with valid report n news coverage), at the mall today.. crowded of course.. while I was relating to buds_hubs abt the stuff in this thread kindly shared by everyone here.. both of us heard over the commotion of nousy shoppers..
\"A boy in ________ has been found, can the parents of this boy please come to the customer service counter at level ________ .\" No name was announced so we are assuming he's too small to speak or may be crying.
Shortly in the next five minutes after that announcement, came another one which went something like this... \"Dear shoppers, a boy by the name of Ryan, aged abt ____, wearing a _____ and a _____ is lost. Anyone who has seen Ryan, please help to bring him to customer service counter at level _____.\"
Both of us looked at each other ... :skeptical: ...
Seriously??? :slapshead:
We really cannot afford to be complacent anymore.
Don't take things for granted for the sake of our children.
To all parents who've shared the many useful information here,
THANK YOU.
Will be keeping track of the discussions here. -

Still remember this case a few years ago - a 7 yr old boy was molested in a library toilet while his mum and sis were just waiting for him outside the toilet :scared: . mommies, at what age do you feel comfortable letting your ds go to the male toilet by himself if DH's not around to accompany him?Singaporeans are no angels hor. Yes sure such crimes could be committed by Singaporeans too. But in this particular case I think it was mentioned the lady was not local? Or I read wrongly... :scratchhead:Singaporeans are no angels hor. There are perverts who prey on young kids. I do not understand why parents are so trusting. Never leave your kids alone. They are just too precious.
We as parents, should also educate our kids not to follow strangers. Dangerous.
