Child abduction at AMK Hub
-
smartmummy:
Aiyo! I don't bias to any race/nationality.my intention is alert parents, sometimes we cannot expect the way how our kids would attack.i can't imagine my kid............tanglin:
I saw a yellow van near the road, its looked like upnormal, then I brought my kids far from the van. Then at night I read a van tried to drag a school boy.We have to be more alert.
not trying to be biased agst any nationalities/race here, but this is one common tactic used in China to abduct kids. so far what we hv heard in SG seems to involve luring the kids away, but in China there are cases whereby the kidnappers literally snatch and speed off in a vehicle before the stunned caregivers have time to react.
I already has experienced almost lost.after that i more cautious whenever we out, sometimes let my kids alone at public places such as library and shopping mall.
I thank you for parents who gave tips how to educate.i told to my son.he asked how about if nobody in that place.i told him just shout for help.they will definitely scared and let u free to go.
Ps: i am not against to any nationality.abductors could be Malaysian,Singaporean,Bangladesh,Indian, about

don't worry dear smartmummy, i'm not saying that you are biased in any way. the 'biased' remark is directed towards my own post cos i frequent some china discussion forums and have read my fair share of horror stories there.. -
happyheart:
omg :yikes: luckily your nephews are smart :shock:I remember just last year, my SIL told me that my nephews (aged 5 &
and very small-built)went to the male toilet together at White Sand mall. When they returned, the older one told her that a man asked them to wipe and touch his buttock for him. Luckily, my nephews refused and ran out of the toilet. My SIL did not get to see who was the man as she was not near the toilet. No report was made.
Incidents like these do happen, a lot of crazy people around. They target children who are on their own, even for that few minutes! -
tanglin:
Oic! Thank you.

I'm very tempted to say if my dh is not around to get my ds to use the handicap toilet, so that I can stand guard outside the toilet. This is the only solution that I can think of now to give me peace of mind. Maybe when he's 7yos, there will be toilets just for kids.
Hmmmmm or another way is to I keep shouting outside \"Are you ok, boy?\" :rotflmao: crazy mummy. Maybe I'm not rational now in view of the many posts abt abductions[/quote] bySAHM_TAN
I also did the same thing when my boy went in toilet, I shouted like you just to check whether he is ok in the toilet himself. -

Laughingcat, your sweet sweet DS2 is VERY affable.. innocent but VERY smart. I am sure if u were to reason with him and share or discuss about issues pertaining to recent attempted abductions (but only one real case reported to date)... I'm positive he WILL know where you're coming from and understand why as family, we should stay close together when out. I can still remember how he readily wanted to touch my hand.. talk to baby.. and ask auntie buds to come and play with him until mommy comes back. I would love for my buds_chubs to be as sweetie cutie pie and so smart like ur DS2. You have raised him well. Do your thing girl, he'll geddit.

Budsie dear, thank you for your kind words on my DS2. :hugs: i did explained to him on the recent abduction case, however his reply was \"i can fight like super iron man war machine with super duper repulsor unibeam rocket laser cannon and machine gun\". My reaction was :yikes: :stupid: the things about boys. -
just learnt that my husbandβs niece in P4 is going on school trip to HK this coming june. Disneyland definitely on the must-visit list. I informed her mother about the papers reports and get her to explain to her daughter on the safety measures.

Just would like to know if you happen to see people abducting kids or trying to be funny, will you step up and help?
Just curious whether we just keep quiet and stand there and look or take action to do something.

Gaming has affected his reality!
there is no such thing as super iron man war machine with super duper repulsor unibeam rocket laser cannon!
there is only Iron Man and War Machine (separate entity) with repulsor blast (Iron Man), unibeam (Iron Man) and rockets (mostly War Machine) and Lasers (both have)
tsk tsk tsk
sorry for the OT
