As long as they had served as PVs or GRLs, then PRs still would qualify to register in phase 2B.

Am registering my boy and by right shd be able to get in Phase 2A since hubby is an old boy of yuneng primary. However i am keen to register him in temasek primary simply becos my pil stay just 2 blocks away and he will be cared by them after/before school

Qn: Should I risk my chance at phase 2A and go ahead and ballot for phase 2C with temasek primary? I am worried if later never get, then i miss my chance at going back to yu neng?

Are you going to use your PIL’s address to register?
If that is the case, you will fall into the 1-2km category despite the actual distance is less than 1km.

For past several years, Temasek had required balloting for those living within 1km. So at 1-2km, you don’t stand a chance to ballot at all.

However, that being said, you might still have a chance with MOE’s new change. That is provided A LOT of the < 1km applicants are PRs.

now i have to digest the figures, and assess my dd’s chances of getting into SCGS.
now that citizens are given absolute priority, maybe we stand a chance of surely getting in for within 1 km at Phase 2C

Don’t forget, many foreigners had acquired Singapore Citizenship already.
It is equally competitive in P1 registation.

The news came really timing for my 1st gal's P1 registration this year. It took the govt too long to put this into reality. I too wonder what's gonna happen to PRs who did / performing PV at the moment...

i think its harder to get PV these days. Schools are now probably told to accept only those within closeby and also to ensure that all PVs would get in.
Not sure about this year's registration though?

This is really great news for us. My DS is trying for 2B at Nan Hwa. Had initially plan to shift to within 1 km to increase our chance of getting a place. Wonder how we can find out the % of PV who are SC and if I should still go ahead to look for a place within 1km?
