My ds classmate who got into gep also but would like to take this opportunity to go to a boy school. Anyone know if his chance is high if he put ACS as his first choice and current gep school as his 2nd choice? For those who are currently in a gep school and intend to change school, are they in lower priority?

I remember someone asking this question at a GEP briefing. The answer given then was that you are strongly encouraged to stay at your current GEP school. Don't think they gave a direct answer as to whether you would be placed in lower priority.

That is a very good reason. Effectively cancels out all the SAP schools

But another issue is if SAP school then they will drill your child to really get in to to take good marks if non SAP school then that is out and again PSLE marks to go down. this is the reason my friend is looking for SAP school as her SON's CHINESE is not high. consider this fact for SAP school

I think MOE only offered about 550 students and knowing that not all will take up. Assuming 95% take up rate, there are about 525 which still can fit into the 21 classes (of 25 students each class) available in all GEP schools.

if you are already in GEP school then priority will be low. so be careful in your first choice. you also need to see the distance.

Any Current GEP students parents share their view of whether the MOE gava their first choice . Do we have any one who's first choice / choice is rejected and given what is not their wish. Parents please share. :?:

As I mentioned earlier, I know of someone who lived in East Coast, put NYPS as first choice, was rejected and posted to Tao Nan.

maybe you shd try to irritate them, eg, if u r in RGPS, then put ACSP as second choice! :!:

What if one from RGPS apply for 1st choice NYPS, 2nd choice HPPS and got rejected by both schools? Will she get a place back in RGPS GEP or RGPS mainstream?

my ds class got 8 selected for gep but only 1 going. Seems take up rate rather low
