I have a ds (2004) and dd (2006). What do you guys think of the new Primary One Registration ruling favouring Singaporean Citizens?

Tao Nan was one of my choice but it is too far from where i stay and by the time i decided the registration for PV has already closed.Hi, my DS is in Tao Nan School (we are in the East).
But I'm sending my DD to SCGS which is my alma mater. Also there is an affiliation to the secondary school. But with the new developments in P1 registration and all the outcry, not sure when it is her time whether it will still be affiliated or not.
My other reason is that they will both be in the morning session next year. So they get to see more of each other (they are quite close) and it'll also be better time management for me.
What about you?
With the new system in store, i can aim at Poi Ching now
Is SCGS = singapore chinese girls school... will it be too far from eastside ? Pardon me being nosey... hope you dun mind... -

Interested with a few of the centre in Orchard especially at forum but the problem is the transportation
