I will be registering my son for 2013 P1 intake, what is the chances like for him to get into Catholic High? I did not do any volunteer work, falls under P 2C, staying within 1km.
you need to check:
when does CHS turn single session ?
because some schools may reduce classes, in their move towards 2016 single session. Need to check if number of P1 classes this year 2012 for CHS going to remain the same as last year 2011. -
anyone here applying White Sands (Pasir Ris)?

If this is so, what is SC priority? Back to square one.zakashi:
How do MOE declare as priority to SC? Both parents SC or just one will do? There are millions of PR. If one of the parents will do, than it is still back to normal. We still have to fight with the PRs, as they are not pure SC.
Citizenship relates to the child, not the parents. -
whether pure or impure SC parents, so long as child is SC, child given priority to go in.

Precisely, the problem is, if she stays within 1km, and allow to ballot, do you think she will give up the place at this SJIJ first?Zoe Tay only occupy ONE slot, not two.
She enrolled her son under phase 2A in SJIJ (husband Mr Philip Chionh is alumni), not Henry Park. Newspaper journalists reported wrongly. Her son is now studying in SJIJ.
under 2B although she clocked > 80 PV hrs at Nanyang, but because she stayed > 2km, she was not given any chance to ballot. So her eldest son stay put at SJIJ, Primary 1. Her second son is entering soon, P1 2014.
had Zoe Tay shifted nearer to Nanyang < 1km, she would have got in readily.
If she got a place at nanyang primary, then she will release the place at this SJIJ. By then, those people ballot will have 1 chance less in SJIJ. Don't you think she is very selfish, inconsiderate and worst, she is a role model for a lot of people. I despise this type of selfish people. -

she has to release the place at sjij first before she could register at nanyang primary. and there is no guarantee she will get a place if there is balloting.
also those people at sjij will not have 1 chance less because when she gives up her place in phase 2a, there is now 1 more vacancy for the phases after.
but those at nanyang would have extra competition. -

She need to withdraw her place in SJIJ first before she is allow to register in Nanyang ... Dun really understand what u mean by 'those ppl ballot will have 1 chance less in SJIJ' coz the same phase close at the same time for alll sch, so if Zoe Tay stay 1 km of nanyang n she decide to try ballot at nanyang , ppl ballot at SJIJ actually have 1 chance more.

Not fair. This system still support PR. They should scrutinized parents' identity too. They must be SC to be given the priority.
