Hi John, I am considering NHPS as my option for GEP for my child but still undecisive. It seems not so popular among GEP parents, correct me if I am wrong. Do you have any kid in NHPS GEP and can you share more about the school GEP programme? how many time do the kids need to stay back in the afternoon and for what activity at P4 and P5 GEP . Can you also share JSA there and what are the criteria to get in JSA. Thanks.

one question to ask is - understand that English and Maths are the 2 subjects the kids are tested on…so they select them based on the toal marks for both ?

if the kids is super good in language but so so in Maths or the other way round, won’t they suffer when they get into the GEP class for that particular subject? just wondering…

My son will be in P3 next year,so want to know more abt GEP

I think no body knows how MOE does the marking . All we know is top 500 students .

I heard of one case, stay at Katong, 1st choice ACS and 2nd choice CH. And he got in CH instead.

This is probably because the number of available vacancies in ACS is very limited. In my child's year, I heard that there were fewer than 5 places left as the other vacanies had already been filled by the P3 ACS boys who made it to GEP. Do check with the school at the briefing to see how many vacancies are left so that you can better gauge your chances of getting in.

does any one know how many P3 students from ACS Junior/ ACS Primary got GEP selected this year. :?

All the things just heard from friends, in NHPS, from pr 3 to pr 6 have to stay back on Thur till 4pm for enrichment class (or called holistic program??)

You may check up the JSA info from the MOE web page, this program is open for P5 students who are good in certain sport, in NHPS case, it will be the table-tennis, I am not so sure about others CCA,

i don't think so..... for the number of acs students get into gep..likewise to other gep schools.. u can check with the teachers representives at the booth tomorrow... that was what I did last yr.
