      Jworld:

My child's kindergarten is organising an excursion soon. A few days ago, someone from the kindergarten called me to ask whether I could come along to accompany my kid.

In the past, I have seen pre-schoolers going to the zoo and other attractions only with the teachers, without parents tagging along. I wonder if the schools are being extra careful because of all these reports.

It's nice that the kindergarten offer. My kids kindergarten is also having an excursion soon, due to recent numerous kidnap attempts cases, I am really worried and called the school if I could join in as a volunteer. I was rejected as the admin said they have enough teachers and volunteers. 😞

I guess as long as they have enough adults, should be quite ok. Enough means 1 child to 1 adult. But if you still feel unsettled, why not just tag along unofficially, meaning you just go where they are going and walk beside the group. Can be done?

Will try to find out why an additional pair of eyes wouldn't help. If it is bus space constraint, then I will arrange for my own transport. I thought would be polite to inform the school
and be part of the group, rather than following behind.

          Just saw this:

Tampines child kidnap rumour a hoax

A recent Facebook post claimed that a girl was kidnapped near her childcare centre along Tampines Street 22. But it turned out to be a hoax. The police said no police report was lodged with regard to this case, and they will not hesitate to take action against those who knowingly spread false information.

From the Singapore Police Force FB

\"Dear fans, we are aware that there are a number of postings circulating online regarding young children being purportedly led away by strangers in public places. Police would like to assure the public that we take such reports seriously. Investigations are currently on-going.\"

Heard they are copycats of the recent tv serial, Unriddle 2, where kidnapping seem so easy!

bomb hoax is punishable. this kidnap hoax should also be punished. No doubt it has shown that we are too complacent.
