Is Groupon a scam?

yes, i received email they said they delivered on 12 march ,monday, no one was at home, so now it's in warehouse, i got the email on 31 march.. after so many days.. and they bull shit, my maid was at home all time, no one ring bell, they din even call me.. they just try to cheat, never send, say send and ask us to collect from warehouse, still say if keep more than 7 days will charge $2,50 per day.. stupid really. !! never never buy their canvas !!

The postman knock on door to deliver as letter box cannot fit in. Tell the company that the canvas have long overdue from what their terms and condition stated :? Made them send all in one go :? Really terrible service. Feel very frustrated as again and again have to be around to entertain the delivery.

Groupon is a scam. If u buy restaurant voucher, the staff at restaurant will treat u as if u have no $$ to pay aka bad service.


From now on, will stay away from groupon as much as possible. Still have $40 credit voucher, anyone wants to take over less 25%??

Last year, I bought an outdoor photoshoot session; but on the appointment day itself the kid wasn't feeling well, so I called to inform them. They do not allow re-scheduling as its not 7 days advance notice. And they forfeited the voucher :roll: If 7 days earlier, I know my kid will fall sick; I would have given him preventive medicine liao.

i bought the inline skating voucher and realise he timing is not right, i emailed deal ask if possible to cancel and get a refund, they did in 3 days time, and they replied mail… groupon, i sent mail, call them… no action, no follow up… not buying from groupon anymore !

We bought the soup restaurant groupon over the weekends and fortunately the service is still as good. Perhaps going to the commonly known restaurants help?


I always see their offer from this and that restaurant. Some unheard of. So we usually don’t buy those.

Maybe you have had good service with groupon, thats good, but not me.

Staying away from Groupon too, although the previous order of vouchers are mostly alright, but the current order on canvas is a big headache. Have so much time spent on chasing for the few canvas which arrive way after the deadline which is supposed to sent.

Maybe you have had good service with groupon, thats good, but not me.

Yap I also buy those resturant/shop that I know of. Like recent Soup Resturant, Broaster Chicken and Hai Bin prawning.

So far so good, no problem at all.

I don't buy those Hair salon, photography and beauty salon as I feel they will have hard selling. Hence, don't want to take the risk.

I personally feel the service is depend on the shop and resturant itself not the groupon. So if the shop / resturant didn't give good service, than they will lose a return customer.
