anyway 'don't judge the book by the cover'...' so so principal' doesn't mean that their teachers are 'so so'..Most of gep teachers are very good and experience teachers. πŸ˜„

Goodness me... i finally finish the thread and catch up on the discussion. it is really worth my time today to catch up on the latest hot topic here.

Ok. My son is now in greenridge primary school, bukit panjang. We haven't decided on whether to opt for GEP till after tmr briefing... right now it stand, it is like 90% NO, 10% YES. His chinese is not good and thus, we would avoid considering SAP school... He already had enough challenges ahead i.e. env changes etc. Looking at the list of non-SAP school, and we are in bukit panjang, our only option nearest seems to be Henry Park. i have yet to figure out the public transport in case my son need to take it on his own after CCA.

I didn't see a lot of folks here mentioning about Henry Park except for TwaTou comment... which is valuable for me. Thks! Other than academic, i heard from someone they are using MI approach. Anyone care to share?
Is it confirm that SAP school only have HCL for GEP? So far I only read that they have CL for MT

Yes, in P4 only. Your child is allow to opt out in P5 and do CL for MT.

I cannot remembered whether he attended any remedial in P4. But this year he is required to attend the Maths remedial. He started his remedial class after his June holiday. I am not very sure on the criteria but I guess it because his scored is below the average score of the whole GEP corhort. Or for students that the teacher thinks is necessary. It end before CA2 and more than half for languages and lesser for the Maths and Science.

Attended CH open house today... was told that they will assess whether any of the kids need remedial or further streching... not all will be strong in both English or Math... can be someone very very good in Math, but lack in English... or vice versa...

Bukit Panjang have 75. direct bus... I think All Bukit Panjang area can try out this school if you are not going for SAP. My friends son was going to HP and found quiet easy. Acadamically good too :salute: . Please note there is a school bus at 3:10 pm from HP after CCA's / ECA'S. Also this is double session school so there is at 6:00 pm school buses sending P1,P2,P3 kids .so still you have lots of choices
