Is it confirm that SAP school only have HCL for GEP? So far I only read that they have CL for MT
Yes, in P4 only. Your child is allow to opt out in P5 and do CL for MT. -
RE: 2009 GEP Screening And Selection
When do they start remedial and under what criteria and for what subjects? When will they stop remedial? Are there many GEP studetns attending remedial?
Is remedial lesson common in all other GEP centres?
I cannot remembered whether he attended any remedial in P4. But this year he is required to attend the Maths remedial. He started his remedial class after his June holiday. I am not very sure on the criteria but I guess it because his scored is below the average score of the whole GEP corhort. Or for students that the teacher thinks is necessary. It end before CA2 and more than half for languages and lesser for the Maths and Science. -
RE: 2009 GEP Screening And Selection
My ds is currently in NHPS P5 GEP. There are 2 classes of GEP each year. Normally, the students that live in the west will opt for NHPS as this is nearest GEP school. The school hours starts from 7.30am to 1.30pm for Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Wednesday ends at 1pm and Thursday ends at 4pm. CCA usually starts at 3.30pm or earlier depending on the CCA you choose. Normally, it will ends at 5.30pm. He had stayed back among everyday for this year for his projects, remedial and CCA. In P4, his only stayed back on Monday for CCA and Thursday for enrichment class. During his time, we opt for NHPS as our only choice because NHPS is the nearest to home. The school bus will pcik him up at 6.10am every morning and will take about 1 hour to send him back home and on days that he has to miss his school bus due to remedial or projects works than he would take a bus home himself. That why, its good to opt for school that is near to home and easy access to public transport if he missed the school bus.

RE: 2009 GEP Screening And Selection
I totally agreed with turquoise. My son is in P5 GEP and he would do and completed his homework / project by himself. He is always in bed before 9pm as he had to wake up early to catch the school bus. Some of his classmates parent that I talked to also find that they are too relax and not much homeworks other than the project. So no worry she will be able to manage on her own.

RE: Nanyang Girls' High School [*IP]
Hi NatTif Mummy,
Do you mind sharing with me what’s your daughter average over the 3 years? -
RE: Nan Hua Primary
Ya, he is currently in P5. I find that it still manageable for him. No doubt sometime he has more homeworks as compare to other days, but overall still ok. I think that still voice down to your child time management. My boy will try to finish up his homework in school or in between CCA. Discus, forget about the horrible stories you heard. If you want your child to study at Nan Hua, then you have to get yourself prepare and support your child all the way. Your child can also sail through the 6 years with easy with your full support.
By the way, Thursday is enrichment day for P3 to P6. The kids will only be let off at 4pm. -
RE: Nan Hua Primary
Their school start from 7.30am to 1.30pm from Monday to Friday except for Wednesday they will be off by 1pm.

RE: All About GEP
ngbrdad,
The school shld have given your son a exam timetable for you to acknowledge. If they indicate P2-investigation, then that the one I refer to earlier. Those question required model are for P1. You may used the 4A Maths text book content as a guide for the topics teach.
